Great price and service from Uneek; bit of a problem with rolling eggs on hatch day.

Firstly let me say that Uneek Poultry had the very best price I've found anywhere on the internet for this particular incubator. Combined with excellent packaging and super fast postage, I’d say their service is excellent.
The instruction book is quite long and involved, but easy enough to follow once you get over the vast expansiveness of it!
I've now used this incubator twice, and whilst it is the easiest I've ever used in terms of, quite literally, set and forget (other than topping up exterior water container from time to time), I did wonder if the slight ratting around of the eggs every 45 minutes was sufficient rotation – seems it is as all fertile eggs made it to hatch day. However, I do think there's an intrinsic problem with the actual hatching process. Firstly you have to be really careful that you’ve set the incubator to stop moving eggs at the appropriate time every time you use it; as it doesn’t appear to remember what you set in last time. Fortunately I heard the base moving under the cardboard at day 20 and figured out the problem. More importantly, as some chickens will always hatch ahead of the others, with corrugated cardboard on the base of the incubator, they knock the rest of the eggs all over the place - causing some to be killed before they get to even start hatching.
For my next batch I've cut some old, fluffy tea-towels to the correct shape in the hopes that they will prevent quite so much rolling about for the late hatchers.
Having said all that, it's easy to clean, easy to set up and I’ve had a pretty good hatch rate second time around when I removed chicks as soon as they were dry (so only lost 2 late hatchers, compared to 6 my first hatch)
