Uneek 48

After a bit of a tear your hair out run with another make of incubator and after talking to Uneek I decided on the Origin 48 incubator. I love the sleek look and the visibility of this incubator. The main draw for me was the completely automated temperature and humidity control. I did a bit of a test run for 2 days and was impressed with how easy it was. I now have the first batch of eggs in and can almost forget about them it’s so easy. I have a seperate thermometer/hydrometer to double check but everything is working beautifully. I also love the instructions on the control pad for those of us who can never remember which button is which!
If I had to find a con, for me it would be the egg roller rather than a holder that tips but that’s just a personal preference really.

Loving this incubator. On its 2nd run now, 1st run hatched almost every single egg. Over 90% hatch rate (was getting a measly 40% in another brand incubator). Very glad I made the switch to this brand & have a 2nd origin 48 sitting on my shelf now too! Loving them, so easy to use. Bit fiddly to clean, definitely. But a con I will take any day of the week with the amazing hatch rates it's given me. Ontop of this, Uneek has been an easy, friendly & helpful company to deal with & I cannot recommend you guys enough.

Great incubator

I really loved all the automatic controls on this incubator - it was as easy and reliable to use as a more well-known (& expensive) brand. It has successfully hatched every fertilised egg in my first run. The day counter was helpful and I also loved the built-in candler. It was mostly pretty easy to clean, although the top was a little fiddly. The only negative feedback is one of my silly chicks managed to kick it's leg into one of the larger holes of the fan cover during the lockdown period. It caused a horrendous noise but was easy to resolve quickly and the remaining eggs hatched without issue. The chick has a dodgy toe, but is otherwise ok.

Origin 48 egg incubator

Received the original 48 egg incubator in excellent condition and time. Gave the incubator a test run and was very happy with the temperature control and humidity settings. Now just need to wait for September spring eggs. Thank you Uneek poultry 🙂
